Kate Robinson is a Texan filmmaker and producer based in New York City. A 2024 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin's Moody College of Communication (Radio-Television-Film), Kate has produced, line produced, and coordinated productions across a wide range of short films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials. The films she has contributed to have premiered at film festivals across the country, including SXSW, Dallas International Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival, and BlackStar Film Festival, and she has also worked on projects distributed by A24, HBO, and MS NOW.

Kate's guiding philosophy as a producer is simple: her job is to do everything possible to make a creative vision happen. She tries to say yes as often as she can, treating obstacles as problems to solve rather than reasons to scale back. She believes a great set is built person by person. She pays close attention to the individual experience of every crewmember during pre-production, making sure each person has what they need to do their best work, because the best art comes out of the best conditions. Kate is drawn to projects that center marginalized experiences, and is committed to using her role as a producer to facilitate the creation of thoughtful, well-made films. It is important to her that unique stories are told, especially if they have previously gone ignored.

Beyond production, Kate values philanthropy. She has been volunteering for numerous organizations over over 14 years, including Special Olympics and Feeding Texas. She is a founder of the Star Bandit Foundation, a non-profit she has led as Secretary and Vice President, and remains an active member of the Star Bandit Art Collective, where she has served as a councilmember.
